Male Body Language & Lying?

Posted by: admin | Comments (8)

How do you know when a man is lying to you. Also, if he smiles with all his teeth, is that a lie? Things like that. The more specific the better. Thanks!

Body Language of Lies:

• Physical expression will be limited and stiff, with few arm and hand movements. Hand, arm and leg movement are toward their own body the liar takes up less space.

• A person who is lying to you will avoid making eye contact.

• Hands touching their face, throat & mouth. Touching or scratching the nose or behind their ear. Not likely to touch his chest/heart with an open hand.
Emotional Gestures & Contradiction

• Timing and duration of emotional gestures and emotions are off a normal pace. The display of emotion is delayed, stays longer it would naturally, then stops suddenly.

• Timing is off between emotions gestures/expressions and words. Example: Someone says "I love it!" when receiving a gift, and then smile after making that statement, rather then at the same time the statement is made.

• Gestures/expressions don’t match the verbal statement, such as frowning when saying “I love you.”

• Expressions are limited to mouth movements when someone is faking emotions (like happy, surprised, sad, awe, )instead of the whole face. For example; when someone smiles naturally their whole face is involved: jaw/cheek movement, eyes and forehead push down, etc.
Interactions and Reactions

• A guilty person gets defensive. An innocent person will often go on the offensive.

• A liar is uncomfortable facing his questioner/accuser and may turn his head or body away.

• A liar might unconsciously place objects (book, coffee cup, etc.) between themselves and you.

Verbal Context and Content

• A liar will use your words to make answer a question. When asked, “Did you eat the last cookie?” The liar answers, “No, I did not eat the last cookie.”

•A statement with a contraction is more likely to be truthful: “ I didn't do it” instead of “I did not do it”

• Liars sometimes avoid "lying" by not making direct statements. They imply answers instead of denying something directly.

• The guilty person may speak more than natural, adding unnecessary details to convince you… they are not comfortable with silence or pauses in the conversation.

• A liar may leave out pronouns and speak in a monotonous tone. When a truthful statement is made the pronoun is emphasized as much or more than the rest of the words in a statement.

• Words may be garbled and spoken softly, and syntax and grammar may be off. In other
words, his sentences will likely be muddled rather than emphasized.
Other signs of a lie:

• If you believe someone is lying, then change subject of a conversation quickly, a liar follows along willingly and becomes more relaxed. The guilty wants the subject changed; an innocent person may be confused by the sudden change in topics and will want to back to the previous subject.

• Using humor or sarcasm to avoid a subject.
Final Notes:

Obviously, just because someone exhibits one or more of these signs does not make them a liar. The above behaviors should be compared to a persons base (normal) behavior whenever possible.

I was wondering, how are people able to read another persons facial expression I mean i already know the obvious ones but the slight ones are hard is there a book or ( even better ) a free site

It isn't easy unless you know the person quite well. A shrug can signal dozens of attitudes or feelings. Body signals are not universal by any means, so if you have friends from other countries, don't assume.
By the way, it's body semiology, or signals. Language uses verbal or spoken words.
Maybe my imitating the various body and facial "semaphores" at home, you will grasp their intent. Don't do this with the person you are with, as he or she may think you're mocking (unless you know that person well and tell them you are trying to feel what the gesture means).

How to read body language?

Posted by: admin | Comments (2)

Are they any good sites on how to read body language. . .?

depending on what level.
if your talking about tells in people (lying, people true feelings for you et cetera) focus on someone, and get to know them. learn how they think and relate their thinking to their action. soon you may see other people taking similar action, in with, after a few short questions, you can made a general assumption. their are exceptions, of course, but weave around and don't make to many judgments that are set in stone.
If your talking about observing health, or a persons past present or future through physical data, look into a thing called Chinese face reading. Its got a lot of good information, and its an ancient practice so you know it works
If your trying to predict peoples actions, again look at the way they think. slowly put yourself into their shoes, thinking of every possible reason someone would have for drinking sprite instead of coke. their is a reason behind everything, even if the person making the choice doesn't realize it. overlook their moods and their out word apperence and reach inside their soul

i hope at least part of this is helpful, good luck miss

Please please tell me. i am trying to write an article about it and i dont know what i should focus on. What is a unique and interesting aspect of body language that most people would be interested about?

There's so much to body langauge that's it very difficult to choose.

You could focus on facial expressions. Like looking to the one corner when people lie, wide open eyes when you like someone, etc.

You could focus on gestures. Like hand movements, pointing of feet to things you like or want, etc.

Subconciuos elements, like why is being tall viewed as having more power, etc.

Or you could focus on body reactions. Like seeming more youngful when there's some around you like, etc.

Personally I think you should touch on everything to give a big picture :-)

Question about female body language?

Posted by: admin | Comments (2)

A 6 MONTHS OF KITCHEN DUTY LIES WITH YOUR ANSWERS….

So if a woman is looking someone, checking him out, and the male happens to look back at her and she smiles, does it USUALLY mean "Hey, come talk to me!" or something along those lines to assess the other person?

It could mean a lot of things. Maybe she's amused that you noticed, maybe she liked the view, maybe she's playing with your head. When you see a girl smile at you like that walk towards her. If she waits for you to come over then that's awesome. If she turns away you haven't lost anything since you never knew her. Go for it.

What do women notice that men do not?

We are more perceptive than men. It’s just our nature.

Besides that we can think of more than one thing at a time. We plan ahead. If the men have great eye contact they become #1 on my list – great way to hook up.
